Dénia is located next to the Mediterranean Sea in the north of Alicante, at the foot of Mount Montgó.
The area has a privileged climate characterized by a majority of sunny days and an average annual temperature of 20º. All this turned our town, already at the end of the 19th century, into an appreciated vacation spot. Dénia is the capital of the Marina Alta, a region of beautiful coastal and mountainous landscapes, soft and Mediterranean valleys, rugged mountains that deserve to be known.
Dénia stands out for its beaches, more than 20 km. of coast, both sand and rock, for its omnipresent castle, located on a mound in the very center of the city, for its quiet fishing port and its typical neighborhoods with a Mediterranean flavor of “Baix la Mar” and “Les Roques” , for the magnificent Montgó mountain, for the wealth of a wise and varied gastronomy turned into a Valencian culinary reference … Dénia has been valued as “UNESCO Gastronomic City”
